Chennai: A film review video shared by actor
Balaji Murugadoss on social media led to police levying a fine from two men for riding a bike without helmets on Wednesday. Balaji recently posted two videos online, where he was seen talking about his movie ‘Fire', which released in theatres on Feb 14, to two bikers and an autorickshaw driver. The actor was travelling in a car while shooting the videos.
In the video, the actor is seen asking the bikers for their review of the movie. They appreciated the movie.
However, Balaji later tagged the Greater Chennai Traffic Police to his video and apologised on their behalf for not wearing helmets. He also offered to pay the fines for them.
The traffic police's social media handle responded with a message stating action was taken against the two riders. They tracked the duo using the bike registration number that was visible in the video, and a fine of 2,000 was imposed on them.
