Boy, 15, brutally killed by 2 others after quarrel in Uttarakhand

RUDRAPUR: A 15-year-old boy was allegedly killed by two other juveniles after the former told the duo not to hurl abuses at him and mind their own business. One of the accused strangled the victim, Deepak Rathore, while the other rained kicks on his private parts continuously until he collapsed and died.
The incident happened in Transit Camp area of Rudrapur in Udham Singh Nagar district on Wednesday .
Deepak, son of Bhadrapal Rathore, was carrying sacks of salt on his motorcycle to his father's general store when the two boys from the same locality hurled abuses at him without any provocation. When Deepak confronted them, the duo allegedly attacked him.
Thinking that Deepak, a school dropout, had become unconscious, the family rushed him to three hospitals, each confirming he was already dead. Clinging to hope, they took him to a hospital in Bareilly, where they finally accepted the truth.
Station house officer of Transit Camp police station, Mohan Pandey, said, "We have sent the body for autopsy. Efforts are on to identify and apprehend the accused. Since they are juveniles, action will be taken accordingly "
"They strangled my child over a petty argument. He was only 15," said Matru Lal, Deepak's grandfather.
