Kota: Former chief minister
Vasundhara Raje Thursday inaugurated state's first Pink Urban Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Khandia in Jhalawar district. Jhalawar-Baran MP Dushyant Singh was also present at the event.
Raje said, "I believe in only two castes, man and woman. The centre will be operated by female staff and it will function excellently. In the forthcoming period, women are destined to play a pivotal role and they shall advance through education and empowerment."
Raje also took a picture of herself at the pink selfie point in the PHC. Later, she posted on her X handle with the headline "Khubsurti ki Intha Be Panha Dekhi, Jab Muskurati hui mene Maa Dekhi" and described pink attributes of the health centre .
Coinciding with Raje's birthday and International Women's Day, the foundation of this pink centre was established on March 8, to promote women's empowerment and was formally inaugurated by her Thursday during her constituency visit, CMHO (Jhalawar) Dr Sajid Khan said.
Khan said, "The entire staff at the Pink centre comprises female personnel. The furniture, curtains, consultation slips, pens, stationery and other medical resources are all in pink colour. Both male and female patients receive treatment here." Khan said pink PHC is inspired by a pink police station in UP.
