Kanpur: A senior executive at an aircraft parts manufacturing company was booked for inappropriate conduct with a female co-worker.
The co-worker, in her complaint, stated that the manager made lewd comments and tried to make physical contact by grabbing her hand.
DCP East Shravan Kumar Singh confirmed that a case has been registered on the woman's complaint, and investigation has been initiated. The incident took place within the jurisdiction of Chakeri police station.
The complainant, who joined the Kanpur-based company through transfer in 2019, detailed the manager's improper behaviour. She recounted discovering two individuals engaged in misconduct at the workplace recently. Upon reporting this incident to the manager, she became a target of harassment from both the manager and other staff members.
She said that the manager continues to make inappropriate comments and demands compliance when she resists. Additionally, he asked for sexual favours and threatened her with transfer if she refuses to comply.
