Lucknow: A 28-year-old man from Bihar, preparing for competitive exams in Lucknow, allegedly committed suicide by consuming a poisonous substance.
The body was found on Sunday morning after the landlord noticed a foul odour emanating from the house and alerted the Gomtinagar police. "When the youth did not come out of the room for two days, the landlord knocked on the door, but did not get any response. When we reached the spot and broke the door, the man was found lying in an unconscious state. He was shifted to hospital where doctors declared him dead," said SHO, Gomtinagar Rajesh Tripathi.
The police also found a suicide note at the scene in which it was written that the body should not be given to the family members. "They are good people, but I don't want to go to them," read the suicide note. The family members have been informed, said the police.
