Chief minister Siddaramaiah reluctant to travel across Karnataka to face voters, claims Vijayendra
Chikkamagaluru: Chief minister Siddaramaiah remains restricted to Bengaluru, hesitant to travel across Karnataka due to his inability to face the public following poor governance, BJP state president BY Vijayendra contended on Thursday.
Speaking during the Janaakrosha Yatre in Chikkamagaluru, he said that the rally's purpose extends beyond political gains or electoral benefits. He accused the govt of targeting social media activists and reminded that political power is temporary.
Former minister and MLC CT Ravi criticised Siddaramaiah's administration, particularly referring to the CM's comparison of his governance to the Mysuru maharajas. He described the current administration as corrupt, noting that even Congress MLAs and cabinet ministers express dissatisfaction. He alleged that Congress is attempting to convert Datta Peta into a mosque through minority appeasement.
Opposition leader in the council Chaluvadi Narayanaswamy, MLCs N Ravi Kumar, Dhananjaya Sarji, and others attended the event at Shankar Mutt, Basavanahalli Circle, followed by a rally towards Azad Park.
