Mysuru: Purushotham HD from Government Engineering College, Hassan, won at the Mysuru regional finals of the 16th TCS TechBytes competition. The event was jointly organised by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and the Board for IT Education Standards (BITES), an autonomous organisation supported by the Karnataka govt.
The runner-up position was secured by Hemanth R from Jyothy Institute of Technology, Bengaluru.
The winner received gift vouchers worth Rs 12,000, while the runner-up was awarded vouchers worth Rs 10,000. Additional gift vouchers were presented to all finalists. The prizes were distributed by chief guest Haraprasad, dean of Internal Quality Assurance & Accreditation at JSS Science & Technology University.
The regional champion will advance to compete in the state finals, scheduled in Bengaluru on April 8. The event was attended by Sunil Deshpande, regional head of TCS Bengaluru, and S Sadagopan, chairman of BITES.
