NAGPUR: Miffed at being denied a loan, a goon recorded a banker's frequent trips to Nagpur's biggest brothel, Ganga Jamuna, and blackmailed him to cough up gold and valuables of Rs 2.35 lakh. Harassed and robbed by the goon, Adesh Samudre, the 55-year-old banker lodged a police case a fortnight later after the accused continued to blackmail him and picked a fight with his wife.
On March 15, Samudre followed the banker to Marwadi Chowk, where he compelled him to part with valuables, threatening to expose his brothel trips to his family, said police. Sources said Samudre plotted the blackmail ploy to earn fast money and settle a score, when he was refused a loan by the banker. And Samudre sensed the opportunity on seeing him frequenting Ganga Jamuna brothels.
Though the manager handed over his gold ornaments to him, Samudre pestered him for more. When the banker kept avoiding him, Samudre reportedly followed him to his house in the Nari Road area, where he picked a quarrel with his wife and exposed her husband's brothel trips.
