TTD additional EO CH Venkaiah Chowdary, who has been holding a series of review meetings with senior officials of the Tirupati trust on preparations to cope with the surge in the pilgrim rush to Tirumala with the onset of the summer vacations, decided to cancel the issuance of VIP break Darshan on recommendation letters till July 15 in order to facilitate Darshan to maximum number of common devotees during the summer season.
TTD authorities also clarified that the VIP break Darshan for the protocol VIPs in the self category will continue but the number of protocol VIPs will also be trimmed down to the lowest possible numbers to effectively bring down the waiting time for Darshan for the common devotees despite the surge in pilgrim rush during the summer vacations.
