Arindam Sil is adapting Samaresh Majumdar’s novel, Anuprobesh, for his first Indo-Bangla project. The film of the same name stars Abir Chatterjee, Rudranil Ghosh, Kanchan Mullick, Paran Bandopadhyay, Ritabhari Chakraborty, Pori Moni, Kushum Sikder and others and will go on the floors in the second week of August.
Arindam said, “I realised that the novel could make a good film. I had been planning an Indo-Bangla project for a long time, and Anuprobesh seemed perfect.”
Bickram Ghosh will be scoring the music. “I will start shooting after the film on Dhananjoy Chatterjee releases,” Arindam added.
The story revolves around a Bangladeshi man, Rabindranath (Abir), and his journey to get established in life. “It’s a road film that shows his journey from Bangladesh to Kolkata. He meets various girls, who elicit different emotions from him till he finally falls in love. Each girl contributes to his journey. The film also tries to address the problem of illegal migration,” Arindam added. Pori Moni plays Abir’s love interest in the film.
