Paran Bandopadhyay had a gala time with his four-year-old granddaughter Piku during the lockdown. “Everyone in my para and my relatives call Piku my girlfriend. She is there with me 24x7. I read out stories to her and then she gives me homework to draw. We read out stories to each other and in the evening, we take a walk on our rooftop hand-in-hand,” said the actor during an exclusive chat with ETimes.
He was also a part of ‘Ekdin Jhar Theme Jabe’, the short corona awareness short film directed by
Arindam Sil.
“I am penning a script for my next play titled Sokal Teenteh. It shows how important a girl child is in a family. I do believe we will sail through these difficult times and get back to our normal lives soon,” said the veteran actor.
The seasoned actor will also be seen playing one of the leads in Abhijit Sen’s ‘Tonic’ which was supposed to release on May 8, but due to the corona crisis the release got postponed. The film also stars Dev,
Shakuntala Barua, Sujon Neel Mukhopadhyay and Koneenica Bandopadhyay in pivotal roles. It’s a story of a retired person who faced many ups and down in life to fulfill his dream to celebrate his special day in a special way. How he succeeds to do so is the crux of the story.
