Jennifer Garner reassures John Miller; her outing with Ben Affleck was just for the kids

Jennifer Garner is said to be assuring her boyfriend, John Miller, that her recent outing with ex-husband Ben Affleck was all for the kids and does not indicate a rekindling of their romance. When photos emerged of Garner and Affleck being seen together at their son's birthday party, speculation started swirling, and Garner needed to set the record straight and alleviate Miller's worries.
As reported by Life & Style, Garner was disturbed by the resurfacing rumor and was speedy in assuaging Miller about the meeting having been "absolutely misunderstood." An insider divulged, "Jen felt bad about it, and Jennifer totally understood his reaction, but she reassured him that it was absolutely misunderstood."
Close sources of the couple confirm that Miller believes in Garner and their relationship is not affected. He is said to know how these things can be perceived, considering his past experience of having an ex-girlfriend. "John knows how things can be interpreted because he has an ex too. It's the price of dating a celebrity," the source said.
Garner and Miller have been seeing each other sporadically since 2018. They briefly broke up in 2020 before getting back together in May 2021. In spite of the periodic difficulty of dating a person who has a well-known ex such as Ben Affleck, Miller has been exceptionally patient and empathetic.
"John has really won Jennifer over with his incredible patience," the source disclosed in September 2024. Although Miller occasionally finds Garner's ongoing friendship with Affleck "a little scary," especially considering their past, he believes in her devotion to their relationship. "Though, he has sometimes found it a little scary that she is still so close to Ben, especially when he is reminded of their passionate relationship from their younger days," the source continued.
Garner has allegedly made it known that she is completely dedicated to Miller and the two of them as a couple, even with Affleck still in her life as a co-parent. "John and everyone else have been reassured by Garner that she is still fully committed," the insider asserted. "But he can't be blamed for wanting some evidence to support her claims."
For the moment, it seems Garner and Miller are handling the delicacies of co-parenting and having a solid relationship, even with the constant glare of attention on Garner's history with Ben Affleck.
