Singer and rapper Doechii, who has been making rounds ever since her songs recently went viral, just made her Met Gala debut at this year’s event. While the artist’s outfit was lauded and praised online, a recent video of Doechii has gone viral, where the singer can be heard and seen being rude to staff members.
Doechii’s behind-the-scenes footage of the Met Gala goes viral
The singer walked the iconic staircase at the Met in a pair of shorts and a stylish monogram-printed blazer. The singer completed her look with a cigar in one hand and a mini-purse in the other. However, rather than the outfit, it was the BTS footage of the singer that made more rounds over the internet.
It is well known that when attending the Met Gala, celebrities are usually at the Mark Hotel nearby, where they can be seen leaving for the venue. Doechii, on the other hand, wanted to keep her outfit under wraps for as long as possible.
The video that went viral showed Doechii leaving the elevator and frankly trying to cover her outfit from the paparazzi. Staff members can be seen bringing a white wardrobe screen to cover the artist while the top part is covered with umbrellas.
The video went viral because Doechii can be heard shouting at the staff members and saying, “Give me another umbrella — now! … I need more f****** umbrellas. Move these umbrellas. I don’t want these people f****** seeing me.”
Public reacts to Doechii’s behaviour
Many took to online social media platforms to criticise the artist for her behaviour towards the staff members. Many called her out on her behaviour and called her ‘mean’ and ‘disrespectful’.
Many, however, also came to the artist’s defence as well. Sharing that she may just have been stressed due to the event, many defended her actions.
