Geetika Tyagi at a group art show hosted by Naren Bhiku Ram Jain in Delhi

A PLATFORM FOR BEGINNERS: Many artists and Delhi’s social circuit regulars were present at this group art show, hosted by Naren Bhiku Ram Jain recently.
Ila Jain, Naren’s wife, told us, “We have participants from all over the country. These people are upcoming artists whose works are not promoted by art galleries in Delhi. So we give them a platform.” On the occasion, artist Vijender Sharma was presented his own portrait by Prince, who considers Sharma his guru.Sharma said, “It’s good to see young artists drawing inspiration from my work. Prince’s painting was a surprise for me.”
OF ART AND COMPLAINTS: Actress Geetika Tyagi, who’d accused filmmaker Subhash Kapoor of molesting her some time back, was also present at the exhibition, and was talking to Shamshad Husain. She said, “When I was a journalist, I used to cover art as a beat. This friendship with art still continues.” We asked her about the allegations against Kapoor, and she said, “I’ve filed a formal complaint against him in Mumbai. The cops have asked me to wait.”
