Aanjjan Srivastav was the star attraction of the play Aakhri Peshi, which was staged in the city on Sunday. A Hindi adaptation of Russian playwright Vladlen Dozortsev’s play The Last Appointment, by Mumtaz Nikhat, the play highlights unethical medical practices in India. The plot revolved around a health minister, Dr Kazmi who was once a successful cardiologist.
As he introspects on his career, and success rate of the surgeries that defined his career, he feels a pang of conscience. Aanjjan Srivastav as Dr Kazmi, along with Sanjeeva Vats, Vishnu Prasad Mehra and Manju Sharma regaled the crowd with their nuanced performances.
