The story, set in Rajasthan, revolved around two wealthy families who had already decided the fate of their children before they were even born. However, when both families have daughters instead of sons, one of the fathers, driven by the desire for dowry, chooses to raise his daughter as a boy and arranges her marriage accordingly.
