Viraf Patel speaks about the strong women's power on the sets of 'Kutch Express'

Prominent TV face Viraf Patel made his acting debut in the Gujarati film 'Kutch Express' and amused everyone with his character Madan as the audience got to see the first glimpse of the actor in the trailer that was released today. In an exclusive conversation with ETimes, he said, "The character I am playing is completely amazing. My character is of a street artist and is similar to a liberal artist who is interested in empowering artists."
It seems Viraf has enjoyed working in Kutch as he expressed, "Interacting with people from the Kutch was most interesting.Getting to know their lives, their hopes, and their love for stories." Not just people from the Kutch but the actor is also impressed with the female power that always lit the sets.
Viraf who got to work with Ratna Pathak Shah for the first time is impressed with the actress. He said, "Every evening post shoot we would huddle up Ratnaben and get her to chat with us about anything under the sun. I think a lot of what we spoke I seem to have forgotten but what remains with me is the warmth of those evenings. Having given over four decades to the craft there would always be so much to learn from her, the actor praises Ratna Pathak Shah."
"Also, the set had some very powerful strong women. Our cinematographer Dhawalika, costume stylist Nikki or direction assistants. It’s refreshing to see more women on a shooting set, feeling safer and helping us draw our best output. I guess that’s a comment on our firebrand female producer Manasi," he added.
He further praised Mansi Parekh and said, "Being on set with Manasi was inspiring. I am convinced she is one of the best actors we have today. Plus I see her juggle so many heavy-duty roles with such poise and ease.One moment she is a producer discussing a scene, then a mother talking to her daughter Nirvi, then she is running a check on what’s happening at home, then she is posting on Instagram as an efficient influencer. I am sure she can do all this thanks to Parthiv’s support as well but I marvel at the ease and energy she always has."
