Zeeshan Siddique, the youngest MLA of Maharashtra from Bandra East, was overcome with emotion during the last rites of his father, Senior Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Baba Siddique. As the mortal remains of Baba Siddique were taken from their residence in Bandra for the funeral, Zeeshan broke down while offering Namaz-e-Janaza outside their home.
The funeral will be conducted with full state honors at Bada Qabrastan in Mumbai.


In a major development in the murder case, police have arrested the third suspect, Pravin Lonkar. The 28-year-old was apprehended in Pune and is the brother of Shubham Lonkar, who is also involved in the conspiracy. The Lonkar brothers allegedly recruited Dharmaraj Kashyap and Shivkumar Gautam to carry out the attack. Authorities continue to gather evidence as investigations are ongoing, according to a police official.

Baba Siddique was tragically shot multiple times on Saturday in a shocking incident near his son's office in Bandra East. He sustained critical injuries to his chest and abdomen and was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he later succumbed to his wounds. The Mumbai Crime Branch reported that six rounds were fired at him, with three bullets striking their target. Two suspects, Gurmail Singh from Haryana and Dharmaraj Kashyap from Uttar Pradesh, have already been arrested.

Following the news of Baba Siddique's death, several Bollywood celebrities, including Salman Khan, visited his home to pay their last respects amid heavy security. Notable figures such as Shehnaaz Gill, Raj Kundra, Mannara Chopra, Giorgia Andriani, Ramesh Taurani, Maniesh Paul, Urvashi Rautela, Rashami Desai, and Zareen Khan were also seen expressing their condolences.
