Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's blockbuster film 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' starring
Farhan Akhtar and
Sonam Kapoor in lead roles has clocked six years. The actors had collaborated in the year 2013 for the sports drama in which Farhan portrayed the titular role of the ace athlete
Milkha Singh and Sonam played the character of a village girl Biro. She inspired and encouraged Milkha to join the Army from where he became the number one sportsman.
Yesterday, the film completed six years and to announce the great news the lead star Farhan Akhtar took to
Instagram to share a heartwarming post.
"6 years since #bhaagmilkhabhaag came along and changed my life.. the heart is filled with gratitude for all the love you have shown and continue to show our film. Big hug. @rakeyshommehra @sonamkapoor @divyadutta25 #YograjSingh #PawanMalhotra #PrasoonJoshi #BinodPradhan @shankarehsaanloy @samir_jaura #MelwynCrasto And most of all ❤️ to the Singh family. @realjeevmilkhasingh", he wrote.
Reportedly, Sonam Kapoor had charged only Rs 11 for doing the role in 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' while Milkha Singh himself charged Rs 1 for giving away the rights to making this biopic on him.
Meanwhile, Farhan is prepping rigorously for Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's upcoming directorial 'Toofan'. The actor keeps on sharing his intensive workout pictures and videos of the social media and has termed them as 'Toofan In Making'. Farhan is training himself in the same way, as he did for 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' to get into the skin of the character and we are sure that he will put in a scintillating performance in this one too.
