Director shows his sensitive side while shooting sex scene

Director Nila Madhab Panda, who won critical acclaim for I Am Kalam, showed his sensitive side while shooting for his next, Babloo Happy Hai, which has Sahil Anand, Erica Fernandes and Sumit Suri in the lead.
For an intimate scene between Erica and Sahil, the debutant actress had to go topless. Since the sequence — of a one-night stand — was crucial to the plot of the film, there was no way it could have been omitted.

Sensing Erica’s discomfort, Nila asked all unit members to leave the room while shooting the scene.Says a source, “The scene was then canned smoothly. Both the actors were touched by the director’s thoughtful gesture.” The film, which explores the youth’s perception of love, life and commitments, also stars Amol Parashar, Reyhna Malhotra and Preet Kamal.
Babloo Happy Hai, produced by Leap Frog Productions in association with FilmyBox, releases January 31.
