Janhvi Kapoor SLAMS trolls for calling Shah Rukh Khan, Kiara Advani, Diljit Dosanjh appearances 'Chandivalification of Met Gala'

The phrase is a jab, linking the grand fashion event to a Bollywood film called 'Chandivali', implying the Indian presence was out of place.Janhvi responded with a sharp message, "Amusing how we’re being almost classist towards ourselves, clearly colonial trauma hasn’t left us (sic)." She highlighted how some Indians still judge their own culture harshly because of old colonial attitudes.Why Indian Designers and Artisans Deserve the SpotlightJanhvi reminded everyone that Indian artisans and designers have been creating beautiful work for decades, but often without getting the credit they deserve. She wrote, "For decades the work of our artisans has been exported from our country and put on global platforms without credit, for decades they have borrowed our fabrics, our embroidery, our textiles, our jewellery and presented it as a creation of which they are the rightful owners."The MET Gala is a chance for India’s rich heritage to be celebrated openly and proudly on a global stage.
