Lucknow heat bothers Javed Akhtar

Lucknow ki garmi does not discriminate between celebs and non-celebs. And those coming in from other cities had better watch out.
This time the unwitting victim turned out to be none other than Javed Akhtar who was struck by a stomach bug no sooner did he land here on Tuesday, when temperatures in Lucknow soared as high as 44 degrees centigrade.

Azmi was also organised in the city yesterday. Said Sarwat Mehdi, person in-charge of the programme in Lucknow, “Javed sa’ab was feeling quite unwell and said he was probably suffering from some sort of a stomach infection on reaching Lucknow and so, we showed him to a doctor. In fact, Javed sa’ab has cancelled all his meetings for the day owing to his health condition and so has Shabana Azmi.” Both Javed and
Shabana remained unavailable for comment, but the two were expected to attend the programmes line up for the day.
