Virat Kohli and Avneet Kaur’s controversy now with the pinch of Rahul Vaidya: Here’s all that happened so far
If for any reason you were away from social media, were on an online detox, or were living under a rock, let us tell you how this Virat Kohli and Avneet Kaur’s controversy started.

It all started with an innocent ‘Like’

It all began when netizens noticed that from Virat Kohli’s official account, a picture of Avneet Kaur from her fan page was ‘liked.’
Seems like nothing, right? However, this nothing turned into something, and something big when the internet started speculating about Virat and Avneet. Internet users enjoyed this little interaction, but their bizarre speculations and memes turned it into a news piece.

Virat Kohli issues clarification, leading to another meme fest

As soon as things started going out of hand, King Kohli thought it would be better to clarify the matter. Breaking his silence, he shared a social media story that read - “I want to make it clear that while cleaning my feed, some interaction has been registered by mistake. It seems that this has happened due to the algorithm. I had no intention behind this. I request that no unnecessary things should be made. Thank you for understanding me.”
Virat Kohli issues statement over liking Avneet Kaur post

Virat might have thought that the statement would bring down the heat; least did he know that it would lead to another meme fest altogether. Internet users did not buy that the ‘algorithm’ can generate an online interaction without the knowledge or consent of the user.
“Thank you Virat Kohli for giving me an excuse of ‘Algorithm mistakenly registering an interaction’, if I happen to like my ex's posts while stalking her,” wrote an internet user.

Another post read - “Mark Zuckerberg at 2:42 AM tweaking algorithm codes to add Virat Kohli’s like on Avneet Kaur’s pictures.”

“mark zuckerberg manipulating his trillion dollar algorithm to add virat kohli’s like on avneet kaur’s pictures,” said another user.

Rahul Vaidya takes a dig at Virat Kohli's clarification

In addition to the internet users, singer Rahul Vaidya took a dig at Virat Kohli’s statement. Taking to his social media handle, he joked, “Main kehna chahta hoon ki aaj ke baad aisa ho sakta hai ki algorithm bohot saare photos like karde jo maine nahi kare. So, jo bhi ladki ho, please don’t do PR around it because it is not my mistake. It is Instagram’s mistake, okay?” ("I want to say that from today onwards, it is possible that the algorithm might like a lot of photos that I did not like. So, to any girl, please don’t do PR regarding this because it is not my mistake. It is Instagram’s mistake, okay?")

Rahul Vaidya claims Virat Kohli blocked him

Just when everyone thought ok, this must be it, came another video by Rahul Vaidya, where he claimed Virat Kohli blocked him! “So, guys, Virat Kohli has blocked me, as you all know. So I think voh bhi Instagram ki glitch hogi, voh Virat Kohli ne block nahi kiya hoga. Instagram ke algorithm ne bola hoga Virat Kohli ko, ‘Ek kaam kar, main tere behalf pe Rahul Vaidya ko block kar deti hoon.’ Haina?” ("So, guys, Virat Kohli has blocked me, as you all know. So I think it must be an Instagram glitch; he probably didn't actually block me. The Instagram algorithm must have told Virat Kohli, 'Hey, let me block Rahul Vaidya on your behalf.' Right?")

Singer takes another dig, this time not just at Kohli but also his fans

So what happened after that, you may ask. Well, the matter only escalated from there. Following Rahul’s video, he received massive backlash from Virat Kohli’s fans. The singer spoke against the criticism and took another dig, this time at Kohli's fan army. Taking to his social media story, Rahul wrote - “Virat Kohli’s fans are even bigger jokers than Virat!”
“And now you are abusing me that’s fine but you are abusing my wife my sister.. who have nothing to do with this! So I was right. That’s why you all Virat Kohli fans are jokers! 2 kaudi ke jokers,” he added.

Delhi police comes into the scene with a HILARIOUS post

The Delhi Police has contributed to the discussions surrounding Virat Kohli's recent issue with actress Avneet Kaur.
The police's social media accounts, which have been attracting followers for their clever commentary on trending subjects and current events, shared a seemingly standard public service announcement on Instagram, reminding citizens to adhere to traffic regulations.
The post stated, "We would like to clarify that while checking our cameras, it appears the algorithm has registered many interactions. It aims to punish the speeders and traffic rule violators. We request that no unnecessary speeding and stunts be done on public roads. Challans will be issued to the violators. Thank you for your understanding."
