When Ranbir Kapoor stayed with Alia Bhatt for a week in hospital after Raha’s birth, Kareena Kapoor revealed that Saif Ali Khan ‘didn’t stay one night’

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt became parents to their daughter, Raha Kapoor, in November 2022. The couple had tied the knot just a few months before in April. When Alia was in the hospital for the birth of their baby, Ranbir took time off work and stayed with her for a whole week.
In a past conversation on Kareena Kapoor Khan’s talk show, the ‘Animal’ actor spoke about his experience as a first-time dad. He said, “I was very good, like I was with her. You know, I had taken a sabbatical from work for two to three months prior to the delivery. You know, I stayed in the hospital for a week with her.”

Hearing this, Bebo couldn’t help but compare it to her own experience when she had her sons, Taimur and Jeh, with husband Saif Ali Khan. She responded, “That means you’re such a lovely husband. I mean, like look at it. Saif didn’t stay one night with me at the hospital.” This old conversation between the cousins has gone viral again, with fans praising Ranbir’s dedication as a husband and father.
Kareena and Saif have been married since 2012. They had their first son, Taimur, in December 2016, followed by their second son, Jeh, in February 2021. Meanwhile, Ranbir and Alia, who are still comparatively new parents, have hinted that they might want more children in the future.

Ranbir’s hint at more kids?
A while ago, in a chat with Mashable India, the 'Rockstar' actor was asked if he planned to get a new tattoo. His response raised eyebrows as he said, “None yet, hopefully soon. The 8th or something, I don’t know, maybe my children’s names, I don’t know.” His words made it clear that he and Alia are open to having more kids.
Alia Bhatt on choosing raha’s name
The ‘Jigra’ actress had earlier shared how they picked their daughter’s name. Speaking on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast, she revealed that they had asked their family for baby name ideas for both boys and girls. She said, “This was when Ranbir and I both, like eager parents, were asking on our family group to give both boys and girls names so we’re prepared so we can zero down on like a girl name and a boy name. So, there were multiple boy names and multiple girl names and, um, we really liked one boy name.
Though she didn’t reveal the boy’s name, she shared that it was Ranbir’s mother, Neetu Kapoor, who suggested ‘Raha’ for a girl. Alia recalled, "My mother-in-law, Ranbir’s mom, suggested, ‘What about Raha? It’ll go very well with the boy name as well if you ever have a boy. If you have a boy and a girl, it’ll be a really good combination."
