When Sonal Chauhan REACTED to reports of 30 kissing scenes with Neil Nitin Mukesh in 3G: 'If someone tells me they want to put intimate scenes...'
Long before viral moments from stadiums made her trend again, actress Sonal Chauhan grabbed headlines for a very different reason. During the promotions of her 2013 film 3G, rumours swirled that the psychological thriller featured as many as 30 kissing scenes between her and co-star Neil Nitin Mukesh.
From Jannat to 3G
Sonal, who had shot to fame with her 2008 debut Jannat opposite Emraan Hashmi, was returning to the big screen with this horror-thriller directed by Shantanu Ray Chhibber and Sheershak Anand. While the film’s trailer did hint at some steamy moments, Sonal was quick to set the record straight.
Setting the Record Straight
Dismissing the exaggerated reports, she clarified that 3G didn’t include numerous intimate scenes as claimed. According to her, the film stayed true to its psychological thriller theme, and any romantic moments—including a single kiss in a love song—were placed naturally within the storyline.

Only If It Serves the Story
Sonal shared that she is open to doing intimate scenes, but only if they are necessary for the storyline. She clarified that she wouldn’t agree to such scenes just for publicity or promotional purposes.

Conviction and Realism Matter
Sonal explained that in her film, there's a romantic song that naturally ends with a kiss, which fits the story. She believes that today's audiences are smart and expect realism. For her, it's important that an actor feels convinced about a scene, and everything should be done with honesty and purpose.

3G follows the story of a couple, played by Neil Nitin Mukesh and Sonal Chauhan, who face unexpected and eerie events during their vacation in Fiji. The trouble begins when Neil’s character buys a second-hand 3G-enabled phone. One mysterious call one night sets off a chilling chain of events that alters their lives completely.
