Ganavi Laxman on her journey to playing the lead in Rishab Shetty's Hero

Magalu Janaki's Ganavi Laxman will soon be seen in M Bharath Raj’s Hero where she has been paired opposite Rishab Shetty. A launchpad like this into films is surely a dream for any aspiring actors out there. But the journey into this film or Sandalwood came in with hiccups for this actress. In a recent interview made to an entertainment daily, the actress said that she had seen a lot of rejections before finally making it to Sandalwood.The actress further went on to reveal that after a series of rejections in auditions she was almost forced to give up and that’s when her entry to the small screen happened with Magalu Janaki.
In fact, Ganavi went on to reveal that she was rejected for Kirik Party as she looked too mature for it. The rejection did come as a jolt but the actress felt that it was the rejection that did keep her grounded as well.
Hero, directed by debutant Bharath Shetty, is all set for release on March 5. The film was shot in the interiors of a forest area near Bellur during the pandemic, right after the lockdown in 2020. While the team completed shoot in record time, a lot more time has apparently been invested on VFX during post production. The film is said to be an action-comedy, and a lot of the action sequences too have been directed by a miniscule in-house team.
