Seems like it's a good start for the Malayalam film industry this year as many of the low-budget films are performing well at the box office. Recently released horror comedy entertainer ‘Romancham’ has reportedly minted more than Rs 25 crores.
Although the makers have not yet officially announced the box office collection reports, according to the Twitter forums that track the box office numbers, the
Soubin Shahir starrer ‘Romancham’ has minted more than Rs 25 crores.
Reportedly, the movie has minted an approximate figure of Rs 39 crores from the worldwide market.
‘Romancham’ hit the big screens on February 3rd this year and the movie received highly positive reviews from the audiences. Netizens called it ‘one of the best horror comedies’ and the magnificent performances were said to be another positive aspect of the movie.
‘Romancham’ was reportedly mounted on a budget of Rs 1.75 crores and was written and directed by the debutant filmmaker Jithu Madhavan. Sanu Thahir was roped in as the cinematographer and the editing section was handled by Kiran Das. Sushin Shyam was the music composer for the film.
‘Romancham’ featured the actors Soubin Shahir,
Arjun Ashokan, Chemban Vinod Jose, Anantharaman Ajay, Sajin Gopu, and several others in significant roles.
