Kaniha posts an inspiring video about embracing oneself

Actress Kaniha, who has acted in films such as Pazhassi Raja and Christian Brothers, besides many others, recently drew attention of netizens to something that is really relevant today. At a time when beauty standards have been looked upon as something inevitable and given utmost importance, Kaniha’s video was an eye-opener.
While most actresses shy away from revealing their blemishes or flaws, especially when it comes to physical aspects, Kaniha said how she had a bad case of acne, which for anybody, especially an actor like her, would bring a lot of difference.She said, “The world just crumbled in front of me.”
Kaniha said she did not have the confidence to post the video, when she made it a few months back, and it was later when she learnt to embrace her true self and bounced back, that she mustered the courage to post the same.
As she was talking, she sounded quite emotional about it. She went on to say how the world is obsessed with physical beauty or outward appearance. She said that this experience taught her a valuable lesson, as to how physical aspects are always put forth, before anything. Youngsters, teenagers and school kids care about the way they look.
Kaniha talked about why body positivity is important, and threw light on the beauty of the inner aspects, for which people around like or adore a person.
