Alencier Ley was a late entrant onto the turf of cinema, after working for many years in theatre.
However, once he got into filmdom, he proved that he deserved to be in films much earlier. The actor, who recently won a State Award for his performance in Dileesh Pothen's 'Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum,' repeated the fete with winning the award for the Best Supporting Actor at the 65th Jio Filmfare Awards 2018.
After collecting the award, he said, "I am very happy that at this stage in my life, I could win a 'black beauty,' and can hold her close to my black outfit." As opposed to his normal 'naadan' style, Alencier looked quite dapper in his black kurta and cap at the red carpet of the Filmfare Awards. "I dedicate this award to all people who are experiencing pain in their lives, such as the landless and refugees. I hope light shines through their lives," he said.
