Anaswara Rajan film Vaanku set for March 13 release

Kavya Prakash’s directorial debut Vaanku is scheduled for a March 13 release. The film, centred around four college girls and what happens when they try to realise their dreams, stars Anaswara Rajan, Nandhana Varma, Gopika Ramesh and Meenakshi Unnikrishnan.
Based on Unni R’s story, the script is by debutant Shabna Mohammed, who also plays Anaswara Rajan’s mother in the film. The cinematography is by Arjun Ravi and music by Ouseppachan.
Kavya had earlier told us, “Vaanku is a commercial film with humour and a lovely message at the heart of it. Maybe I could relate to the story so much because it is woman-oriented, but I don’t intend to be encumbered by gender in my filmmaking.”
