Aparna to play the lead in a crime thriller
Filmmaker Joe Eshwar, who narrated the story of a neglected freedom fighter in his debut outing Kunthapura, is gearing up for his next film. Tentatively titled Liverpool, the movie is touted to be a crime thriller.
Parankimala fame Biyon and Aparna Nair play husband and wife in the film. The actors had previously shared screen space in @Andheri, a thriller helmed by Biju Bhaskar.

Biyon, who will be working with Joe Eshwar for the second time, says, “I am happy to bag this project. In the film, Aparna’s character gets murdered. The plot revolves around the murder.”
Interestingly, actress Bhavana's brother Jayadev, along with British screen writer John MC Gimpsey, have penned the screenplay. Unlike Joe’s previous venture, this time the director will share his directorial credit with British director Nick Fletcher, who had earlier worked with Joe and Biyon for his movie Chakara. The film was principally shot in Kovalam, Southern Spain and in various locations in Southern England.
Post his period drama film Kunthapura, rumours had been doing the rounds that Joe’s next film will be titled Area 4 and 4114 miles. However, the director said that he did not confirm any of these rumours. “Liverpool will be a bilingual, shot in English and Malayalam. We have been discussing the movie for long. It will be shot entirely in Liverpool. Currently, the movie is in its pre-production stage and is expected to go on floors in April.”
