The film starring
Tovino Thomas in the lead is directed by Dominic Arun of Mrithyumjayam fame.
The dark comedy has him playing a suspended cop SI Padmanathan Pillai. Actor
Balu Varghese plays his buddy in the film and he is also under suspension. And the reason for suspension as per the quirky poster is the “unauthorised mission leading to the death of a police officer.”

Dhanush is currently shooting for his Hollywood debut The Extraordinary Journey of The Fakhir. Tharangam is written by Anil Narayanan and is expected to release later this year. Besides bankrolling this project, Dhanush’s production company will also produce debutant director Arun George K David’s film Ladoo.
