Kalidas Jayaram turns 28 today and recently actor Jayaram, his father, posted a throwback picture of Kalidas Jayaram, wishing him happy birthday. Having made his debut in the film ‘Kochu Kochu Santhoshangal’ alongside Jayaram, the actor has proved his acting potential through several films such as ‘Ente Veedu Appuvinteyum’, ‘Poomaram’ and even set his foot in the Tamil film industry with the film ‘Putham Puthu Kaalai’ and the anthology film ‘Paava Kadhaigal’.

At the age of nine, Kalidas Jayaram was presented with the National Film Award for the best child artist for the film ‘Ente Veedu Appuvinteyum’ which was released in the year 2003 and was directed by
Sibi Malayil starring Jayaram, Jyothirmayi in lead roles. The script for ‘Ente Veedu Appuvinteyum’ was written by ‘Bobby-Sanjay’. The award was presented to Kalidas Jayaram by APJ Abdul Kalam and in an interview, Kalidas Jayaram shares some vague memories on receiving the prestigious award from ‘The Missile Man of India’- APJ Abdul Kalam. He said that although he was allowed only a few seconds to receive the award, Dr. Abdul Kalam nearly spent 5 minutes talking to him on the dais and it was a surprise for him and the audience. Abdul Kalam asked Kalidas Jayaram what his ambition was, and when he replied that he hadn’t decided yet, Kalam advised him to put his heart in whatever he does then success will come the way.
In the interview, Kalidas added by saying that Abdul Kalam is a really humble and kind person and told him to take as many photos as he want. Kalidas even asked him for an autograph during the award-giving ceremony.
