Tamil Nadu, filmmaker
Santhosh Mandoor is set to entertain the movie buffs with his next titled ‘Bullet Diaries’. Starring
Dhyan Sreenivasan and
Prayaga Martin, the film as the title implies, is about a motorhead and his journey. Speaking exclusively to ETimes, director Santhosh Mandoor spills the beans on ‘Bullet Diaries’.
“Set against the backdrop of a village, ‘Bullet Diaries’ travels through the life of a motorcycle enthusiast, played by Dhyan Sreenivasan. He plays Raju Joseph, a young man from a farmer's family in Irutty. An auto mechanic, Raju runs a garage and is extremely fond of his bike. He is emotionally attached to the vehicle, and the film is all about his journey with the bike,” Santhosh Mandoor shares.
A realistic drama, ‘Bullet Diaries’ explores how Raju’s enthusiasm for motorcycles, especially the one he owns, affects his life, “Raju’s mother (played by Sreelakshmi) is fed up with his love for bikes. Since Raju’s job isn’t that glamorous for the world, she is finding it tough to find him a prospective bride, and to top it all off, he is mad about his bike. From washing the vehicle every now and then, to even having a bonding time, every day before he goes to bed, Raju is crazy about his bike,” the director adds.
Actors Johny Antony, the late Kottayam Pradeep, and Altaf too are part of the cast.
The makers have filmed ‘Bullet Diaries’ in Kannur’s Alakode, Karuvanchal, Paithalmala, and Mangalore. They have completed the shoot, and the post-production works are underway. The first look poster was launched recently.
