Legendary actors Sukumari, Meena, Philomina, KPAC Lalitha, and Kaviyoor Ponnamma had a deep-rooted friendship.
According to Filmibeat, Kaviyoor Ponnamma once said that all of them used to enquire whether they got selected for a movie and KPAC Lalitha once told her to take up a role that was initially offered to her. The same was the case with actress Meena. Kaviyoor Ponnamma said, "Throughout our careers, we've done countless films, but we've never intentionally hurt anyone. We always shared a close bond. Meena would often call me, asking if I was cast in a project, and sometimes I'd tell her, 'I'm not taking up the role; it suits you better.' It was the same with KPAC Lalitha. She would call and ask, 'Chechi, did they offer you the role? You should take it; it would be perfect for you.'"
Meanwhile, KPAC Lalitha and Kaviyoor Ponnamma have teamed up for several films including ‘Sandesham’, ‘Vietnam Colony’, and many more.
