Kochi Times was the first to announce that
Kunchacko Boban and
Nayanthara were teaming up for a thriller, which will mark the debut directorial of State Award winning editor
Appu N Bhattathiri. The makers on Sunday revealed the film's title poster which reflects its genre.
The movie titled Nizhal is set to go on floors in Ernakulam on Monday. Talking to us, Kunchacko had said, "Even though it's a thriller, we believe it delves into hitherto unexplored terrain in the genre.
After Anjaam Pathira, this is a thriller that got me really excited."
Kunchacko Boban and Nayanthara had earlier teamed up for a song sequence in the movie, Twenty-20. "It's a coincidence that after acting in the film Twenty 20, we are starring together in a film in the year 2020," said the actor.
The film’s shoot will happen while adhering to the Covid-19 protocols. Kunchacko says, “It’s not a pandemic-oriented project per se but it’s a movie that can be shot in a controlled environment. There are a lot of location shifts but we can film it under restrictions because there aren’t many actors. Most of the movie will be filmed in Ernakulam and with just two days of shoot planned outside Kerala.”
The cast, he says, will only have a few noted actors while a child artiste will also play a pivotal role. Theevandi director Fellini TP is also creatively attached to the film, which is scripted by debutant S
Sanjeev and has Sooraj S Kurup as its composer.
