Mollywood actress Kaniha took a trip down the memory lane as she reminisced her movie ‘Spirit’. Kaniha turned nostalgic as she revisited the ‘Mazha kondu mathram’ song from ‘Spirit’. Reminiscing the song and the scene that followed it, Kaniha added that it was a great experience essaying the character Meera in the movie.
Kaniha essayed the female lead Meera opposite Mohanlal’s character in the movie.

The character Meera is an independent woman, who has to seek divorce from her husband Raghunandhan (Mohanlal), who is successful in his career, but an alcoholic. Meera later marries Raghu’s friend and shares a healthy relationship with her ex.
The movie is also very special for the actress on personal terms, as ‘Spirit’ marks her first movie after her son’s birth. “This is the 1st movie I did after motherhood when my kiddo was a year and a half old,” Kaniha captioned the video which she shared on her social media account.
Sharing the touching song, Kaniha wrote, “Love this song and the scene that follows… "Spirit" (2012) an amazing movie in my career crafted by @balakrishnan_ranjith renji etta..💕 Was a wonderful experience playing the role of this strong and independent woman Meera. Kaniha rose to fame with her performance in Jayaram-starrer 'Bhagyadevatha'. The 2009 movie saw the actress essaying Daisy, a housewife. Kaniha's performance received a positive response and the actress went on to play the female lead in Mammootty-starrer period drama 'Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja'. She essayed Kaitheri Maakam in the movie. Soon Kaniha was flooded with offers. The star was last seen in Mammootty’s magnum opus ‘Mamangam’.
