Krishnam Raju's demise: Mammootty visits to pay last respects

Veteran Tollywood actor and former Union minister U.V Krishnam Raju was cremated on the last day (September 12) with full state honors in Hyderabad. Several prominent celebrities in the film industry such as Chiranjeevi, Murali Mohan Babu, Jr NTR, Mahesh Babu, and the directors Trivikram, Raghavendra Rao, and others paid tributes to the veteran actor.

Veteran Tollywood actor and former Union minister U.V Krishnam Raju was cremated on the last day (September 12) with full state honors in Hyderabad. Several prominent celebrities in the film industry such as Chiranjeevi, Murali Mohan Babu, Jr NTR, Mahesh Babu, and the directors Trivikram, Raghavendra Rao, and others paid tributes to the veteran actor.

On the last day, the legendary Mollywood superstar Mammootty was spotted attending the veteran actor Krishnam Raju’s funeral.

On the other hand, Krishnam Raju played the lead role in the Telugu remake of Mammootty’s superhit movie ‘New Delhi’. The remake was titled ‘Antima Teerpu’ and was directed by the veteran Mollywood filmmaker Joshiy under the script penned down by Dennis Joseph.
Krishnam Raju reprised the role of Mammootty in the remake of ‘New Delhi’ and the film turned out to be a humongous hit. Apart from Krishnam Raju, the Telugu remake of ‘New Delhi’ also features several prominent actors such as Suresh Gopi, Thiagarajan, Sumalatha, Prabhakar Reddy, Ranganath, and Urvashi.

Krishnam Raju, popularly known as Rebel star breathed his last on September 11, Sunday at a private hospital in Hyderabad. According to the reports, the 83-year-old superstar was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, apart from actors, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Ministers of Telugu states, Union minister G Kishan Reddy, and several other top personalities paid tributes to the veteran Telugu actor who has breathed life into several memorable characters.
