Pinarayi Vijayan and several prominent Mollywood celebrities expressed grief over B Harikumar’s demise.
Hailing from Thiruvananthapuram, B Harikumar is the nephew of the late veteran actor Adoor Bhasi.
B Harikumar, being a writer, has also published two books on the actor Adoor Bhasi and the books were titled ‘Chiriyude Thampuran’, and ‘Adoor Bhasi Phalithangal’.
B Harikumar started his career as a bank officer and later penned several popular novels. Some of his most famous works include ‘Pakal Vilakku’, Mareecham’, Thaavalam’, ‘Gandharvan Paara’, ‘Karutha Sooryan’, ‘Diana’, ‘Chakravarthini’, Kanmani’, ‘Aparajitha’, ‘Vaadamallika’, ‘Kaamini’, and ‘Apahaaram’. Harikumar also played several characters in Malayalam movies such as ‘Sargam’, ‘Kalamasseryile Kalyanayogam’, 'Saagaram Saakshi’ and serials such as ‘Chamayam’ and ‘Marmaram’.
B Harikumar also penned down several stories and screenplays for television serials and telefilms. His most popular work was the TV serial ‘Dr Vezhambal’ which was based on the popular novel written by Malayattoor. He also penned down the script for the film ‘Sanyasini’.
