The film boasts an original score by Mark Kilian and features compositions by Lydian Nadhaswaram, promising a riveting auditory experience for moviegoers. 'Barroz' is set to hit theaters worldwide on the aforementioned date, inviting audiences into a world of treasure, mystery, and legacy.
However, the film's journey to fruition saw notable alterations in its creative landscape. Mohanlal collaborated with T. K. Rajeev Kumar, undertaking substantial revisions to the screenplay, characters, and settings. Consequently, Punnoose parted ways with the project, relinquishing his credits. Kalavoor Ravikumar joined as the dialogue writer, reshaping the narrative trajectory.
Filming for 'Barroz' commenced in December 2021, culminating in July 2022, traversing locales in Kochi and Goa, with additional sequences shot in Bangkok and Chennai. Notably, the film was crafted in 3D, promising a visually immersive experience for audiences.
The storyline orbits around Barroz, the custodian entrusted with safeguarding Vasco da Gama's concealed treasure for over four centuries, destined to bestow the riches upon the legitimate descendant of da Gama.
