Poonam Bajwa plays an actress in her next!

Poonam Bajwa’s sizzling item number Po Mone Dinesha in Mohanlal-starrer Peruchazhi made the crowd go gaga over her. She was earlier part of Malayalam films like China Town and Venicile Vyapari, which starred Mohanlal and Mammootty, respectively. Now, we hear that the South Indian siren has landed a plum role in the upcoming movie Rosapookalam, helmed by Anil K Nair.
“Poonam will don the role of an actress Lena Alexander in the campus – psychological thriller. The story spans through the journey of six friends who are on a mission to find more about an old friend, after a long hiatus. Eventually, the tour provides the gang with some interesting yet startling revelations,” says Anil, adding that each and every character has prominence in the story. The filmmakers have lined up an ensemble cast including Kollywood star Sakthi, Vinay Forrt, Ineya, Sanju, Leona Lishoy and Sanal Aman.
The director doesn’t want to label it as period film, and says the movie goes through different time frames. “It is not at all a period film, which depicts a certain age. In fact, we are planning to adopt a different kind of narration, which helps the audience to follow the story with ease,” he says.
Vinay Forrt plays a psychologist, Dr. Sanjay Raman, while Ineya acts as his wife. Pratap Pothen and Thalaivasal Vijay will also play key roles in the movie. Rosapookalam is set in the backdrop of Bangalore, Hyderabad and North Malabar and is all set to go on floors on October 9.
