Punjabi actress Sonia Mann has a different story to tell. She says the director kept postponing the shoot schedule and he failed to give her the script of the movie before the shoot. Initially, the shoot was supposed to start on May 12, but it got postponed to 21. They gave me the script at night at 10.30, that too in Malayalam. When I asked for a translated script, they said they dont have it, says Sonia.
She says she was asked to sit with the assistant director and translate the script on her own.
To top it all, the next days shoot was at 5.30 in the morning. If I sit through the whole night translating the script and learning it, when will I sleep? fumes Sonia. They said that all the North Indian girls working in the Malayalam film industry translate the scripts on their own. However, I have friends in the industry, who told me this is not true, she says, and adds that they failed to provide her with a hairdresser.
A hairdresser and a make-up artist are the basic things that they provide an actress. When I asked for a hair dresser they asked me to do it on my own. However, when I insisted on one, they sent someone who had no idea about hair styling, says Sonia, who is currently in Mumbai attending a workshop for the shoot of a yet-to-be tiled movie directed by
Manish Jha.
