Actor-producer Vijay Babu, who is accused of sexual assault of a budding actress has reportedly offered Rs 1 crore to the survivor in the case. In a recent interview with a news portal, the survivor has divulged that
Vijay Babu tried to influence her by offering Rs 1 crore via a friend, in order to withdraw the complaint.
In the interview, the survivor actress also dismissed the allegations Vijay Babu made, including that she had taken money from him, during several instances.
She went on to add that she had only received Rs 20000 from Vijay Babu, and it was the remuneration for the movie she did with him. She further spoke about the mental trauma, Vijay Babu’s action of disclosing her identity via Facebook live, has put her. The survivor revealed that she was on a film set, when Vijay Babu revealed her identity, and before the news reached her, she was subjected to social media trial, where she had to face severe backlash and slut-shaming.
It was on April 22, the newbie actress filed a complaint in Ernakulam police station, alleging that she was repeatedly assaulted, both sexually and physically by actor-producer Vijay Babu. Following the complaint, Vijay Babu flew to Dubai, and later Georgia, absconding from the police. He returned back to Kerala, earlier this month, and the police has been interrogating him on the complaint.
Meanwhile, a shocking note from the survivor, detailing the ordeal was also released following the complaint.
