Arav recently gained widespread recognition after playing the antagonist in Vidaamuyarchi, where he shared screen space with Ajith Kumar,
Trisha Krishnan, Regina Cassandra, and Arjun Sarja. While enjoying the success of the film, he recalled a terrifying incident that occurred on set during the shoot of an intense action sequence. In an interview with CNN-News18, Arav recounted how a casual conversation with
Ajith Kumar turned into a near-death experience. During the filming of a car sequence involving a Hummer, he had jokingly asked Ajith if the vehicle could topple. Ajith laughed it off, assuring him that it wouldn’t happen yet; in the very next shot, the car lost control and overturned, almost as if fate had played a trick on them. Despite sensing that something was wrong, Arav placed his trust in Ajith. Fortunately, the Hummer’s sturdy build prevented a major disaster, though the impact was severe.
As the crew rushed to their aid, taking nearly five minutes to reach the scene, Ajith remained remarkably calm. Without hesitation, he broke the car’s glass to ensure they were safe. He then personally took Arav to the hospital for a checkup. Recalling those terrifying moments, Arav admitted that his mind was racing; he had just become a father a few weeks earlier, and he prayed for both their safety and the successful completion of the film. The only words Ajith uttered when the car flipped were, "Oh my God." Arav further revealed that while on the way to the hospital, Ajith spoke to him about personal matters that he had never shared with anyone before. Those words, Arav said, would stay with him forever.
