Prashanth released the trailer of the upcoming Tamil film 'Mayathirai', which is all set to release this Friday — on August 5. Produced by V Sai Babu, the film is directed by T Sampath Kumar, who had earlier worked as an assistant to popular directors Bala and Ezhil. This will mark his directorial debut.
The film stars
Ashok Kumar in the lead role with Chandini Tamilarasan and
Sheela Rajkumar as the female leads.
Jaibala, Tarun Master, Kadhal Sukumar, Kadhal Saravanan, Bhava Lakshmanan, Sujatha Master, Master Aarav and others have acted in supporting roles.
The film's cinematography has been done by Elayaraja Velusamy and editing by Koteswaran M.Suresh. SN Arunagiri and S Thaman have composed the music for this film. Lyricist Gnanakaravel has penned the songs.
Prashanth congratulated the crew. Later, speaking about the trailer, the actor said, "Looking at this trailer, it seems that this is a different attempt in horror films, especially there is an attempt in the style of a novel. My best wishes to dear Sai Garu who is like my family, a huge success with Mayathirai."
Prashanth is currently waiting the release of his film Andhagan, which is widely touted to be his comeback film in Kollywood.
