Shoot at Site: This peppy number has Mugen Rao wooing Aathmika inside a mall

Mugen Rao and Aathmika have teamed up for the first time for the music video Mayakirriye, which was released a couple of days ago. The song, which has been directed by JimmyRudh, has music by AniVee. In a coup of sorts, the team got the hot and happening Anirudh Ravichander to croon this peppy romantic number.
When we visited the shoot of the song in a mall on OMR, Chennai, we found the place to be buzzing, with the film crew working at a rapid pace.The concept involved Mugen, who has come to the mall as part of a flash mob, getting smitten by Aathmika, who he sees shopping there. And throughout the entire song, we could see Mugen trying hard to woo Aathmika and impress her with his cute actions and dancing.

This is a jollyana paatu, something youngsters can listen to every day. It's been sung by Anirudh, who is one of my favourite singers. Afsar master, who has choreographed this song, has come with a signature step that can easily be followed by everyone. I’m glad that there is a music video from my end after a long time. In fact, excluding the videos I’ve made for my own songs, this is the first independent video that I’ve featured in.

This is my first music video song. It was different shooting for this one compared to shooting a film song in the sense that we narrate an entire story in a single song. The speed at which the project is put together was also different as it happens quickly unlike with films. Since this is Valentine’s Day song, the concept involves a guy wooing a girl. I did not get much time to interact with Mugen on the set because we were shooting at a fast pace, but from what I observed while working with him is that he’s dedicated and talented. He is definitely someone who has a good future.
