Amitabh Bachchan pens appreciation post for team 'Major'

Big B Amitabh Bachchan is the latest to heap praise on 'Major', the biopic on Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. It seems the superstar got to watch the film recently in a special, personal screening and was highly impressed by it. He lauded the team headed by director Sashi Kiran Tikka for the articulate handling of the subject and its execution.
Amitabh took to Twitter and wrote, ''#Major a film on the life of #MajorSandeepUnnikrishnan He is one of the saviours of Mumbai 26/11.In theatres now. @AdiviSesh @saieemmanjrekar @sashitikka @urstrulymahesh. My best wishes.'' He also shed the trailer of Major.

Adivi Sesh is ruling the hearts of many as his film 'Major' takes over the box office. The actor has been flooded with rave reviews for his sensitive and moving portrayal of the late Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who will forever remain in our memory for his bravery and sacrifice in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks in 2008. The 'Major' fever hit the nation like wildfire, with audiences stepping out of theatres moved, emotional and with a deep sense of pride and respect.
Apparently, the film has earned Rs 50.7 crore within seven days of its release. The film was also written by Adivi Sesh, directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, and produced by Sony Pictures International Productions, Mahesh Babu. Besides Adivi Sesh in the lead role, the film also stars Prakash Raj, Sobhita Dhulipala, Saiee Manjrekar, Revathi, Murali Sharma, Anish Kuruvilla and Abhinav Singh Raghav. The technical crew of Major will comprise Sricharan Pakala for music composition, Vamsi Pachipulusu to handle the camera and Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi and Kodati Pavan Kalyan for editing.
