Naveen Polishetty starrer Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya will be a trilogy!

Swaroop RSJ’s Naveen Polishetty, Shruti Sharma and Suhas starrer Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya hit screens on June 21 last year.
The film that received good business purely through good word of mouth was a hit at the box office, apart from winning good response from critics too. Naveen Polishetty played the titular role in the film, of a quirky detective from Nellore who runs a failing detective agency called FBI (Fathima Bureau of Investigation). His assistant Sneha is played by Shruti Sharma and Suhas plays Agent Bobby from Tamil Nadu.
But looks like Agent has a few more tricks up his sleeve and more crime to solve as the filmmakers announced on Sunday that Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya will be a trilogy. The same was announced on producer Rahul Yadav Nakka’s birthday. Director Swaroop is currently working on a script and the second part of the trilogy will start rolling after the director completes his second film. “We are happy with the way the script is shaping up, we will announce other details soon,” says producer Rahul. Naveen Polishetty had penned the screenplay along with Swaroop for the first film, it remains to be seen if he’ll do the same for this one.
Apart from that, remake rights of Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya for Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam have been sold for a good price and talks for a Kannada remake are also underway. A Japanese dubbed version of the film will also hit screens on September 11. Agent Sai Srinivasa Atheya saw music by Mark K Robin and cinematography by Sunny Kurapati. Cast and crew of the sequels are yet to be announced.
