'Srikakulam Sherlock Holmes', a comedy-thriller film directed by Mohan, was released in theatres on December 25, 2024. The plot unfolds in 1991 when Rajiv Gandhi visits Visakhapatnam shortly before his assassination. On the same day, a young woman named Pulidandu Mary is found dead on the beach. Under pressure from the public and media, CI Bhaskar vows to solve the murder within a week or resign. With the arrival of a senior officer investigating Gandhi's assassination, Bhaskar hands over Mary's case to Om, also known as Sherlock Holmes, who must unravel the mystery within the tight deadline.
The film features a talented cast including Ananya Nagalla as Bhrama, Siya Gowtam as Constable Lakshmi, and Ravi Teja Mahadasyam as Balu. Vennela Kishore's portrayal of Sherlock Holmes has been particularly praised for its humour which engages audiences with his performance.
