'Koi nahi rok sakta': Lalu Yadav asserts Tejashwi Yadav will form govt; JD(U) reacts

NEW DELHI: RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav made a strong declaration on Sunday regarding his son Tejashwi Yadav's political prospects in the upcoming Bihar assembly elections.
Speaking at a memorial event for former MLA Jamuna Yadav in Jasauli-Jamunia village, Lalu confidently stated that "no one can stop Tejashwi Yadav from forming the government in Bihar this time."
"Koi mai ka laal Tejashwi Yadav ko sarkar banane se nahi rok sakta hai," Lalu declared.
During his address, Lalu vowed to implement the "Mai Behin Maan Yojana," a women's welfare scheme, and highlighted his party's commitment to serving the underprivileged sections of society.

However, the statement drew sharp criticism from opposition leaders.
JD(U) spokesperson Neeraj Kumar dismissed Lalu's claims, stating that Tejashwi was suffering from "political Pitri Dosh" (ancestral curse).
"I want to remind Lalu Prasad that even imitation requires intelligence. Every youth of Bihar who is a 'Mai Ka Laal' will stop Tejashwi Yadav -- an accused in the land-for-job scam -- from becoming Chief Minister," Kumar told IANS.

He characterised Lalu's statement as mere "daydreaming," suggesting that Bihar's voters would soon end RJD's political aspirations.
Similarly, Bihar deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha alleged that Lalu’s past actions have permanently damaged his family's political reputation and Bihar's image, making the term 'Bihari' derogatory.
“Lalu Prasad Yadav will never be able to make Tejashwi Yadav the Chief Minister, and the biggest obstacle is Lalu himself,” he said.
“Due to Lalu's past misdeeds, no one from his family will ever gain respect in politics. If anyone has played the leading role in tarnishing Bihar’s image and turning the term 'Bihari' into an insult, it is Lalu Prasad Yadav,” he added.
